Marco Moneta's book about Niccolò Manucci, a Venetian traveler, writer, and physician who lived in India for over 60 years during the Mughal era demanded a touch of the 17th century on its cover, and we chose a background from Indian miniature paintings of the time combined with a portrait of Niccolò himself. Niccolò's book Storia do Mogor (Story of the Mughal), remains one of the most detailed first-hand foreign accounts of 17th-century India.
This work was commissioned by Penguin Random House India.
